Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cover the ceremony as standard?
Yes, always, with multiple cameras, and it is edited into your film in every package. The paid extra is only for the full length ceremony and speeches films with professional audio.
How long until we get our film?
Our standard turnaround is around eight weeks. We film the day and then edit the footage into a final film, which is delivered to you once it has been reviewed and approved.
How far do you travel?
We cover Suffolk, Norfolk, and Essex from our base in Belstead near Ipswich. Travel within 50 miles of Ipswich is included in every package. For longer distances, there is a supplement.
What is The Grain Edit?
A short answer describing it as an optional Super 8 style finish, filmed digitally and graded. It runs through your main film, or it can be cut as a short film of its own.
Is The Grain Edit real Super 8 film?
No, filmed digitally and graded to look like it, with the benefits listed. It is not real film stock and I won't pretend otherwise. What you get instead: no three week wait for a lab, no roll lost to a light leak.
Do you work alongside our photographer?
Yes, we work alongside our photographer. We film the day and then edit the footage into a final film, which is delivered to you once it has been reviewed and approved.
Do you need a meal and somewhere to charge?
Yes, briefly. We need a place to charge our equipment and a meal to keep us going. We usually stay at the venue or a nearby hotel for the day.
How do we book?
A booking fee and a signed contract holds the date. We work with couples to find the best time for filming and to discuss your vision for the day.
